Survival of the Fattest was a compilation CD released by the popular Fat Wreck Chords label on March 12, 1997. It was the third installment in the wildly popular Fat Music series. In this album, musician Danny Longo returns to the world of pop/rock with new material that includes eight new songs and one bonus track. Most of the music on Survival of the Fattest features the previously unheard vocalist/singer combinations of Jon Fox and Mark Linn-Baker. In addition to the musical highlights, the band also provides background music including "Paparazzi" by the Isley Brothers, "You Are the Best" by Nirvana, "Haitian Divorce" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, and "I Remember You" by New Kids on the Block.
